Candle Sticks are on my radar.

Ever since my friend Kara gave me a set of 3 candle sticks for my birthday, I notice them everywhere. I'm so pleased with how great they look, and I've been wondering if I need them in more places around my house.
A week ago husband and I went Yard Sale-ing for the first time this year. It was a busy day, with lots of addy's to visit, and I made off with lots of cute things including clothes... Once the clothes were washed and tried on, I found most of them are too small, so I need to be giving Kara a call.

At one of these yard sales, (one of the ones you consider not getting out of the car for), I spotted these two beauties, so I leapt out of the car, headed over and saw a $1 sticker on each of them.  MINE. The Pier 1 Imports sticker on the bottoms say $18!!!

I am not a fan of light wood white washed, so although they look good enough to leave alone.... you know me better than that.
Since I have the 3 candle sticks from Kara in my living room, I decided these probably want to go in my bedroom, that being the decision, I went ahead and painted them blue. I just used wall paint. This is the color I put on the walls in this photo here above...
Then I got out my favorite walnut wood stain, brushed it on, and wiped it off with a rag.

I let them dry of a couple days, then went and found a spot in my bedroom for them... Up on the cabinet by the TV... You might notice they look shiny... That's simply from the Walnut stain. It's oil based, and dries on top of water based paint that way.
I need to get some candles now.

They match the piece I have on the other wall.... You no doubt remember the one if you are a follower of my blog: If you are not a follower, and want to see the post click HERE.

Thanks for stopping by!

A note for Ali....
I have so many projects I want to get to... I promise they will end up here eventually.  The big cool ones are the ones I'm struggling to finish.... Here's a taste of one:
(little and large.)
